Damn straight Karl. Good on you for helping Carrie and her dumb *** husband who left home without new tires.

AJ, as long as you made it home safe we can give you some grief.

Wow...

AJ, That is typical of the independent HD shops here too. One place called Kellys in Kingman will not even look at you if you ride anything non american. Now i own an American made Victory, These same people who shunned me with the FJR welcome me into the fold. **** them.

I am so glad things worked out. You know i would have helped if i was home! I still owe ya one!

Karl messed up. He should have been like me and offered Carrie a ride to the next town,

Then either put her on a plane for home or just drove her there leaving AJ's burrito eating *** out in the desert for wildlife feed.

I think I'd have stuck a knife in his front tire before I departed, just to be sure he was really fuked. I mean, he knew he was running a risky tire.

But that's just me.

Scott Stutsman Hey Don this is LCB from the FJR forums! We just happened to meet her at a gas station in Springerville while she was coming back from SW-FOG!

Wow what a ride today! Second worst conditions we have ever ridden in. At least 2.5 hours of rain and temps down to 48. Some pretty heavy rain and fog for awhile but 5 cold wet hours later we are here. Warming up with some hot chocolate in the lodge. My wife rocks so hard. Great day today!!

— with Jenny Stutsman and Don Stanley.

Exactly how we started talking to her Funk! I asked where she was coming from and where she was going and then told her I was shocked at how many miles she had logged on a sport bike!!

Made it to Casa Grande Yesterday only an hour from Tucson, after seeing temperatures of 106-112* for the last 200 mile stick a fork in me, I was DONE. Found a cold motel room. Had a pleasant ride to my daughters home this morning.
*Wife always said my attitude was going to send me straight to Hell. Well I got a preview Yesterday riding across the flats of Arizona.
When you mentioned you were riding down to Tucson, I was thinking of all the heat you were facing. Once the temp exceed 105 degrees, there is not much possible to make the ride more comfortable exceot for the swimming pool at the hotel you check in to at the end of long hot day of riding through what seems to be a blast furnace.

Some good rides with great people at this year's event.

Gregory, Rick, and Bob at the Hwy 12 overlook on the way to the Burr Trail. If you didn't make it to the Burr Trail on this trip, I highly recommend it the next time you are in the area.

Skippy and Petey at Kolob Reservoir.

The scenery was outstanding but I will not recommend the ride anytime soon.

HRZ - One word... Darkside.

Speed and temperature will really take a tire down fast. I've seen brand new PR3s go to bald and flat in 2700 miles on an FJR.

Oh, and buy a lotto ticket. Normally on I-15 in the 80mph zones the LEO tolerance for over 80 is very, very low, even with a get out of jail free card. Especially if you get pulled over by a Sheriff instead of USP.

Glad you and the missus made it home ok and only with a little bad taste in your mouth from the HD shop.

He's a ***** Eric believe me.. If and when meat curtain lips ever goes darkside?
Apes will once again rule the work\ld and they will set off the secretly implanted implosion device so nobody will know.

Plus he's a Mexican.... he's too fat an lazy to deal with excess tire weight.

Har har...Screw you goat boi. I had actually pulled up the Darkside thread to get the tire size. I was going to get a car tire and get home. Then I remembered I have an OEM brake bar and didn't think that would jive with the tire.

I may use my dremel and thin that bad boy up one of these days, just so I have the option.

For reference, just make one out of flat steel stock. I prefer 3/16" thick x 3/4" wide myself. It will have zero negative effects while running moto tires. I can't recall for sure, but it may be possible to use longer bolts and mount the oem one on the outside of the tabs in an emergency. Most any hardware store could help you fab one up pretty easily with the oem one as a template.

https://perchpubbrewery.com Why can't we Irish-Mexicans ever get any damned respect on our Fine FJR Forum! Miss Donna and Papa Chuy Viejo had dinner and drinks at the Perch Pub and Brewery in downtown Chandler last night, in the hallway to the restrooms some Dickwad ******* wrote: "The Irish are just Mexicans that were born too damned lazy to steal!"

I made it home today around 11:30am. Had a good ride with MCRIDER007 (Steve) to Twin Falls, ID. Got a little warm at the end of the day, but we made it to a Mexican restaurant and had a fine meal with a 24oz. beer. Steve went on to Kennewick and I went on to Prineville via Burns. Short ride today over Mt. Hood, through the rain and 46 degrees. Had a great time, as usual, and met some new people. As always, looking forward to next year. Took a few pics and will post up in my Flickr site.

Ken, Thanks for all the pics---had a great ride with you and Jennifer on Saturday! Made it home to colorado via hw 14,89,12, I-70, 50, 92. with Silver streak and friend Dan.

Just for the record, Spanky and I made it home at about 1730 on Saturday. 6499.8 miles for the trip. What a ride. The PR4's were new when we left and still have quite a bit of life left in them. The twisties from Arkansas home did a good job of rounding the profile out after the flat states. Still haven't gotten to pictures. Ride report soon.

I was to stay in Sin City for only two days after Cedar City before going to the Bay Area of California, but I'm still in Las Vegas. I've gone to the VA Hospital here twice because of pain and limited use of my left arm but the new billon dollar hospital doesn't have the specialists yet that can treat my condition. I'm going to leave the FJR in Las Vegas and fly to Illinois today and see if the VA back home can fix me,
