Oh My...Look what the mothership has done to the 2015 R1!

With steep price tag $16,500!
That's the regular R1. "M" version is $22k...at least that's MSRP!!

I wonder how many will have to be made available to racers to meet homlagation rules.

Looks like a lot of bike with a lot of standard features with the price under $25K which I believe was a rule under the old AMA rules under DMG. I think WSBK rules allow just about any electronics if they are OEM on the bike. We are seeing more and more from MotoGP and WSBK on production bikes, which is a good thing.

Yes, very tempting with the new electronics, aluminum chassis and magnesium subframe!

Unfortunately, I still like my current R1 and would like to see 100k on it one day :)

I guess timing is everything :)

Ride Motorsports in Woodinville has an R1M front and center. Wow!!

Not my cup-of-tea, but sure would be fun for a half-hour...before the back, wrists and neck gave out.

+1. I saw the standard R1 up close at my local dealer and he was slowing me all the electronic features. The display even shows you how hard you are braking. Various settings can be adjusted and saved for track days once you find a setup you like. This thing slices, dices and does Julian Fries just like a Sledgeamatic!

The standard R1 did not have electronic suspension settings but I'm being told that the M version does. I tried zooming in on George's photo but the resolution was not good enough for me to tell.

Big Cat on the bottom of that thing...... Machine Looks BAD @$$ !!!
Makes me feel good I pioneered the Blue Wheels on the FJR !!

Such a super cool advancement for Yamaha - seems that BMW like to pave the way, but Yamaha holds out to deliver a more refined product to their customers rather then have the consumer weed out all this issues for the company.....

Another reason I have always appreciated Yamaha !!

All the electronic suspension goodies were there Bill. My cell phone pics don't do the bike justice...it's stunning in the flesh!
