The Postman just delivered the CD I bought last week on eBay. 1999 24-bit digitally remastered version of Robin Trower's Bridge of Sighs, originally released 4/20/74, complete with 5 bonus live tracks. :drag:

"Why so unforgiving

And why so cold

Been a long time crossing

Bridge of Sighs"

Damn, now torn away, and back to my regularly scheduled yardwork.

Robin and I need to go for a nice long ride real soon!

I had (have?) that! I remember having the 8-track when it was first released! Cover band in Augusta, GA used to do some pretty good work on several RT songs at a place called "The Hitchin Post".

Owned the vinyl, cassette, and now CD (though not the remastered version). Good stuff. He played at a blues festival I was at in July :) but unfortunately I had to head home before he came on stage :(

What a bunch of druggies you old fart FJR owners are! :p ...

Smoke on the Water...

I just re-discovered some old Genisus... A Lamb Lies Down on Broadway..

Good stuff too..

Were.
Or is it "Once a druggie, always a druggie"?

I saw him in '78. I was not sober. In a BIG way.

Afterwards, we got pizza and drove up into the mountains to check out the stars away from the lights of the city. The three girls I was with (girlfriend, her sister, my sister) were done looking around in a turnout, so they got back into the car. I took the opportunity to walk to the edge and piss. Mid-stream, from about 15 feet down into the brush off the side, came a deep-throated and very aggressive sounding growl (just typing that made my hair stand on end). I'm sure it was a Mountain Lion. Talk about a trip!

I walked backward to the car (70 Ranchero 351 GT) and got in, never feeling safer.

Yeah, good ol' Trow, brings back memories....Last time I listened to him before today the source was a large vinyl LP.

You mean it's something? All these years I could have been trying to figure it out? Damn!
Looks like some sort of sand dune. :dntknw:

I just saw him at the Galaxy theatre in Santa Ana. Ca.

He still kicks ass.

Got that same CD, and I listen to it all the time.
