Many apologies if I just plain missed it, but I am looking for a list of sutable oil filters for my '08.

TIA,

Greg.

I know where you can get the answer, but I've been "pissed on" for providing too many links. You might try looking through the NewGen "Bin-O'-Facts".

Also in the bin. To find stuff easily in the bin of facts, press "CTRL-F" then type Oil Filter in the box. It will take you to the section on oil filters. At the end is the link to the article Radman synopsized above.

Screw that, Mike. I liked the way in which you "took care of business."

I fear no one.
And that's why you're my hero.

And you get the prize for "big word of the day."

MM,

I swear never to piss in your direction!

While we're on this topic, you can get 2 packs of that filter for under 10 bucks from amazon.com. Those savings won't make you a rich man, but it might work out to a free gallon of gas.
By the time you ship it, you aren't saving anything.

They carry Purolator filters at Pep Boys for those that have one nearby.

If you are looking to use oem filters and oils. check out FJR goodies .com, pretty good prices. There they have the final drive gear oil specified for the FJR for 19.95, compared to 32 at the dealer...I think the Yama filters are like $7 somthing. and crush washers arent that bad in price either

Which reminds me. If you guys are fed up having to replace those aluminum crush washers at every oil change you may want to try one of these little jewels:

SAAB drain plug washer

I've been using these for years on my SAAB autos and the drain plug is the same size as the Yamaha's. Brass washer and a nice little flexible rubber seal make these last a long time with no leakage. Put one on my FJR 2 oil changes ago. No drips, no runs, no errors.

The free shipping doesn't kick in until $39 so it wouldn't be much help unless you needed some other car stuff.

...and it's a pretty blue that matches the '05 so nicely. Got a couple on the shelf as I type.
I was asked by a mechanic if I had the filter custom painted. :dribble:

BWAAAAA!!!! Are there idiots that would take the time and spend the money to custom paint a disposable item like this?

BiMart here in the Northwest has em pretty cheap.......when they have them. Popular size evidently.

the word "here" is underlined, even in your quoted text above, for a reason. It is a link. Click on it.
Yes, Fred, but it doesn't take him to the EXACT information. For that he has to actually scroll halfway down the page, all the while looking for the works: Oil Filter. Good grief, sir, would you please try to be a bit more helpful. According to the new policies trying to be inflicted upon us by some newbies, you should have cut & pasted the information to begin with.

You "oldies" are sure a difficult group to get along with! :p Would you all please buy some silver spoons with which to feed the newbie the information they crave.
