I'm about to do an oil change and wanted to use a Wix oil filter instead of the Yamaha OEM, I can't find a Part number to fit my 03. can anyone help?

This is a fun winter project for us. Let's see if we can get responses to who has used which filters on that list. I'll start:
I have used: Bosch 3323. Result: No leaking, motor did not burn up. HP did not change.
Mobile MOBIL M1-110. Result: No leaking, motor did not burn up. HP did not change.
Purolator L14610. Result: No leaking, motor did not burn up. HP did not change.
Yamaha 5JW-13440-00 Result: No leaking, motor did not burn up. HP did not change.

All it took was a few seconds with a search engine.
Most of them are probably just rebranded and I don't know which ones will work without leaking other than the ones I have actually used.

Go to Cal-Sci web site(yes the windshield people). He has a list of filters for most bikes made plus a ton of BS about oil.

I use the Bosch filter on mine. Do NOT use the Napa filter. It does not fit right and will leak.

My local independent motorcycle shop has K&N 148 for the FJR. I went down to buy one a couple weeks ago - and they had an OEM Yamaha filter in stock, for $2.00 less than the K&N!
