Well. I'm reasonably sure I took it off the bike. A torx head (45) bolt, but I can't remember where the hell it went. It's about 3/4" long and I can't for the life of me remember where it went. I'm sure I bought the damned torx socket because I needed it for this. But where does it go back????

(Yeah, yeah, I shoulda saved this for Friday so I could get dogpiled on for doing something so stupid.)

Well it helps to know what you took apart initally.

Otherwise, are you sure that's not BMW hardware? Looks strikingly similar...

In any case, that is a bolt that secures a panel of some kind or another light-duty application.

Like bergs says, "tell us what you took apart"

There aren't that many Torx 45 screws on the bike. I've got 45K on my 06, and never removed a large Torx screw.

Nope, not a BMW. Or at least if it is, it's off of my car and I have no idea how it hopped from the car in the driveway and into my parts bucket.

Rancho,
You sure it's a T-45?
I was close. Running on sinus meds last night and stuck in the 45 and it didn't move much. T50 it is. Dana, Radman, Ponyfool, Bounce: you're saviors. Virtual beers all around!

Thanks! :clapping:

Uh huh... yup. Glad you figured it out.
