I just found an 07 with my name on it. While riding up in PA I found a dealer that had a poor lonely 07 sitting in a corner with no one to play with. I have a 05Harley Wide Glide that I've been suffering with for 2 years with 38k mile on it. The sweet lady told me to go ahead and have a test ride and have fun. UNBELIEVABLE this baby rides so sweet. I came back and she worked up her numbers for a trade. lol she will make an even trade and take the harley off my hands. As soon as the back rest is installed I can go back up there and pic up my own black cherry. Then enjoy the PA countryside all the way home. Finally my dream coming true. Then let the Farkling begin! :clapping: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :drinks: I just hope I can make it all the way back up there on these bald tires lol

Deep breaths man. Take it easy. Just beware of the ear to ear grin you'll have when you ride it! Enjoy the FJR and this Forum and if you are ever up my way (Vermont) look me up.

Tom

Congrats from Damascus, neighbor!

If interested, there is a mixed group ride from Harper's Ferry on 9/14, from the CindyDee diner. I think it leaves the diner at 9am.

The FJR Eastern Owner's Meet (EOM) is in Lewisburg, WV on the weekend of the 20th, and there is a whole RIDES section devoted to it. I had a great time last year but have to be available for work that weekend of this year.

Also, thanks to Randy for bringing up this one: https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?s...=109182&hl=

Keith,

I picked up a left-over '07 on the 26th here in Virginia Beach. Only had one mile on the odo.

Made a lunch run down to the Raleigh, NC area today and now I've got almost 500 miles on her.

I am coming from an '03 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 Classic.

The FJR feels so much lighter and more nimble.

I have some buzzing in the grips above 3500 rpm but no abrupt throttle.

Man I just got back home. Picked up Cherrie yesterday and had an awesome 200 mile ride thru PA. Got up this morning and another 230 miles to get home. OMG I'm sleepin in the garage tonight!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad to here I have a neighbor to ride with in Damascus. I got to do the throttle spring fix before my hand falls off. Let the farkling begin!!!!!!!!!

PS Bob I will be glad to get together anytime. We ride everynight in search of country roads and good coffee.

Shoot me an email at [email protected] and we can exchange some info.

Ride that booger as much as possible as per the hands part get better with milage. in fact you won't even notice it after a while. If you do the spring thingee, make darn sure that you've got in down pat before you perform the operation.

If I were you I would install some grip puppies before I done the spring mod. I installed them and had no need for the spring mod. I also added the G2 throttle cam. and it made all the difference in the world.

Mac

P.S. Congrats on the bike, I ride an 07 also and love it.
