This is Palmer Motorsports Park in Palmer, MA. A bunch of us New England and Eastern Riders will be going to a training day for Non-Sportbikes here on August 21, 2017. I am not connected with this event in any way, but have had a blast learning street riding with Motorcyclist scribe Ken Condon at previous events and wanted to share. Previous events at Thompson and Loudon have been highlights of my riding year. This is NOT racing by any means. Sportbikes will not be allowed at this event so no one will be buzzing by you. It is working on streets skills in groups divided by your desired pace.

Again, I receive no payment and am not part of the group running the training event. I have just had so much fun and learned so much that I thought that others might be interested.

Stop over and say hi if you make it. I will be on a red Honda ST 1300 Tourer.

If I had the time off work, would love to make this. Just a bit of a far piece for me. Maybe some time.

...and a mid-day break for the partial solar eclipse (65% in MA).

Track day looks like it would be a hoot but I hope to be in Wyoming or Nebraska at that time seeing 100% solar eclipse, (among other things).

The 21st. is a Monday. NERDS ends on the 20th. Palmer is almost directly on my path home. Hmmm . . . .

I did one of these events about ten or twelve years ago. I enjoyed it so much that I bought an SV 650 race bike that was for sale in the pits on the way home.

I have been racing ever since.

There is no greater thrill in the world then going as fast as you can down the back straight and seeing a 35 MPH right hander coming up and you are doing well

over 100 MPH.

I'll be at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio all this weekend for The Vintage Days Races.

Anybody that's there, stop in the pits and look up #65 stop and say Hi.

That's my anniversary,, I guess my wife might fall for a trip to Mass for our anniversary? right? Is there a Mall nearby?
