If they create a next gen ST1300, I'll definitely be looking. I might be held back by the amount of farkle crap I have on my Feejer, but I may be tempted.

I really had a terrific test ride on the FJR1300, the dealer suggested a 30 mile loop and I got lost by 10 miles so ended up almost going 50 miles. The FJR was very fast and agile, I did have a ball with it.

But for this 67 year old I felt the ST was a little smoother ride & smoother engine. I think the FJR leans a little more to the "sport" side and the ST leans a little more to the "tourer" side.

In the end it is what you prefer. I really appreciate all the help I received from you all on the FJR Forum.

Thank you,

Ken :D
Enjoy the new ride. I was considering the ST and the FJR. I had many VFRs (still have a 95) and have a soft spot for the V4. In my case the Yamaha dealer did a test ride no problem and the Honda guys wouldn't lift a finger so the choice was easy. For the record, I dropped by the Honda dealer with my new purchase. Hope you have many happy and safe miles, let us know how the ST works out for you.
