BikeEffects (great guy, A+++ forum vendor) and, IIRC, CelloII? I've not yet met CelloII, next time..
On a most personal note, I needed closure for Andrew's death. Too many questions not answered. That never will be answered. What thoughts and mind frame were in place before hand? I don't know, and, IMHO, neither does anyone else.
Still, I needed to see. With utmost respect, please do the same:
If you don't, maybe you should?
After a nice dinner, and great hospitality and friendship, a new, yet unlived be me, day arrived and somehow, somehow, I felt at peace with Andrew, relationships, riding, and, most importantly, myself.
Reality is that it was time go home. And what a beautiful day for a ride. The rains had cleared the sky, the wind kept the crap somewhere else, I've NEVER seen I-5 in central Kali so clear and beautiful.
I rode back with KaitsDad. You may know he's rally (pun intended) trying to get an IronButt Rally invite, but on this day he took pity on me, the Candy Butt Association president, and we took lots of breaks, pee stops, and food stops too. This is the first time I've ridden with KD, and he's truly a professional rider; no un-needed chances, yet quick, and you had better be freakin phast at the pee stops… LOL.
It never looks this clear:
After crossing the valley, we hit 101 South.
Then west to Marina, CA.
Yesterday, the ride was cool and brisk, I had had about 15 minutes of pretty good rain. In other words, stormy, fall-like, cool to down right cold; the seasons are changing, even in central Kali.
Then again, less than 50 miles away.. (gotta love Ca)
For the first time, I actually saw the light from this lighthouse!
Followed by this tree, how many storms and weather has it seen?
After shaking KaitsDad hand at our junction point, he continued East then South (he should be home by 2300 or so), I arrived safely home at my little patch of ground. I'm so thankful for what I have; my health, really good friends (you fjr peeps!), and most importantly, family and my loverly. The weekend, closure for past friends, making new friends, the Circle of Life of continues. Thank You all - you all ROCK!
