Rode down to Grass Valley, OR, today for ORP's open house.

WOW!!! What a track! I think it will prove to be quite challenging....experience there will almost certainly be very advantageous.

Lots of blind corners and a nice mix of slower and faster corners.

Got a bunch of laps at very slow speed and then several laps at a much higher speed than I would have guessed they would have allowed. They were going to have us bikes follow the cars behind a Chevy Suburban pace vehicle, but the endurance karts couldn't go that slow so they let us out with them. I followed four sport bikes, one race prepped w/ rider in full race leathers, as our pace vehicle, and three nice street bikes including an Aprilia RSV. Went every bit as fast as I was comfortable with, keeping up with the bikes and ahead of the karts.

Damn...now I want a track bike.

There were a couple AEs there, when I arrived. I didn't see the owners until they were riding out, so didn't get to visit.

Right in the middle of nowhere.

Its about a half hour south of the Columbia river on hwy 97. The track is just east of town.

Go out east on I-84

at Biggs Junction head south for 27 miles
