Did you get their base plate rack as well? Or, are you just fabbing your own mount between the tank and the FJR? Thanks.

I just fabbed my own mount.

Looking at top of mount. (Note 3 large holes in the middle for inserting bolts.)



Bottom of mount.



Bottom of mount showing cork to protect bike and spacers to allow bolts to tighten correctly.

Cork and other foam held in place with double sided tape.



Foam taped to top of mount. (Note double sided tape.

This held foam to trunk with bolt holes in alinement.)



Steel renforcement for bolts in bottom of trunk.

The requested Pic's In the sun yes the color does look darker but everyone

thats seen the setup thinks this is about as close as it gets.

You may buy this trunk and see about getting it painted to match

and still not spend as much money as some of the other cases.













On bike looking throught mirror, doesn't block view.

Thanks so much for the pics. Nice job on mounting. I ordered one today. For the money it seems the trick tank; the dimensions will accomodate my 17" laptop. I wonder if one can remove the "VIP" emblem easily; I hope it is double stick tape, not drilled.

It is tape or glue, I checked for holes inside and looked it over good.
