Let me begin by saying, we did not encounter rain for the 10 days, 3100 miles while riding the bikes. It was beautiful sun shine everyday with the exception of a little fog along the West coast. We began the trip across the country (3 days) towing our bikes on a trailer, Friday July 4. We arrived in Wellington, Nevada at our friends Cary and Cheryl's house, Sunday night July 6th. The next morning we began our ride after we unloaded the bikes.

We head North up Rt.89 and stopped at Lake Tahoe for a bite to eat here.

We continued North on Rt.89 and picked up Rt. 97 to Klamath Falls. Then went Northwest on Rt.140 to Rocky Point, and then North to Fort Klamath. Picked up Rt.62 North to our next stop, Crater Lake. The following pics are of Crater Lake.

We continued North past Diamond Lake and stayed the night at Lemolo Lake. The next morning we planned to continue North on this single lane road that eventually turned to gravel and after approx. (4) miles on a dusty gravel road we found snow across the road and at that point we had to turn around and back track back to Rt. 138, then North on Rt. 97 and then branched off North on Rt. 58 to Oak Ridge. Next we travel this secondary road "North Fork Road" which turns into NF 19, which was just spectacular! We eventually picked up Rt. 126 North to Rt. 20 East for a short piece then North on Rt. 22 to Detroit, OR. This place.

Awesome pics. Looks like you couldn't have had more beautiful weather. I need to put some miles on my bike out there because I don't think anything in Jersey comes close to that.

WOW!!! Some fantastic Pics. Great Ride Report. Looking forward to the rest. I know it takes a while to put these together...UH?

Thanks for sharing.

and smart idea to trailer your bikes to nevada.
Two years ago we road them to Colorado then up thru Wyoming and Montana. The mileage that you put on driving thru the mid-west and getting hosed by a out of state dealer replacing a set of tires (especially when we change them ourselves) isn't worth it.

Great pictures, keep'em coming. :fan_1:

On side note, had to go outside and check to see if my trailer was here. Those Aluma's pull about as nice as any trailer it have ever had. And between dirt bikes & snowmobiles, I had a bunch.
