Is it really $848 for the top box, pad and mounting kit from yamaha??? Seems outrageous. Anyone got other suggestions or cases of negotiating a better price?

I didn't pay no where near that and bought it from a Yamaha dealer. In fact if you go on the Yamaha website (full retail) you will find it for a whole lot less.

Glvl's box is a LOT better than tne yamaha box & is a lot more affordable. Before you buy, take a look.

You might also take a look at SHAD, cheaper than the Givi and a fine box.

Not negotiating. However, our forum members have compiled an excellent list of online sources that you can easily shop and possibly find a better price. It was included in the areas you were strongly suggested to reviewing when you signed up.

Givi V46 with integrated tail light (I've had zero issues with mine) and matching color cover. Cheaper...and better.
