Hi there I am researching the FJR as my next bike!
My current bike is a 2006 Suzuki DR650, I bought it new and just hit 44,000 miles. 44K would not be much on a FJR but let me tell you, its a lot of miles on a 650 thumper
!
I am going to set up the DR for mostly dirt and I need a more road worthy steed for commuting and, hopefully, some touring.
Here in California lane splitting is legal and I have many, many miles of experience and I am curious how wide the FJR is and how high above the ground the widest point is.
I suppose the widest point is the mirrors? Per my research, the widest point is 29.5 inches, is that correct?
On my DR650 the widest point is 34 inches at the mirrors and due to the hight of the bike, the mirror are at the same height at most SUV mirrors
