After I bought my Motolights...

I told my wife I was done buying things for my bike.

Then I saw this...

So now, of course, I had to have one.

Problem is I already bought a nice Close Canyon Dual Sport seat from Corbin...

So if anyone is interested in a slightly used Close Canyon Dual Sport, let me know. I really like the "close" version of the Canyon Dual Sport because it drops me an inch lower to the ground and it puts me an inch closer to the bars.

And if anyone can help me with a reason why the Smuggler trunk is a "safety" improvement... it would help me convince my wife that I really needed to buy this.

Probably the biggest safety factor would be your inability to pick up female hitchhikers ...

How are those Motolights? Do they throw a wide or narrow beam. They look pretty neat and I like the caliper mount. i wonder if folks might be interested in a group buy on them.

(petey @ Jun 11 2006, 03:38 PM) *FJR1300, what are you asking for the corbin "Dual Sport" seat?
I already have a dual sport, I need the front of the two piece modular system.

Didn't you ask is anyone was interested in a "slightly used Close Canyon Dual Sport"? Then when petey asks what you want for it you tell him you already have one. ???

Dooh!
:dribble:

That's going to leave a mark!

I didn't read his post the way I should have... anyhow I think he sent me a PM.

With the new Smuggler on your bike your wife can stay home and be safe because there is no longer a seat for her....there's your safety reason.

As you can see, I have one on my 2006 FJR (pictured below), so my husband can stay safely at home or ride his own bike :yahoo:

That smuggler trunk is pretty, but dang, do they want a lot for it!

It doesn't look like it it would fit with the Givi rack. Anyone know?

And I'm about to hook up those motolights. Any practical advice on the install?
