The Great Pacific Northwet
I've been looking forward to this ride for several years. :yahoo:

I'll be starting out in CT and go to a family reunion in Mt. Gretna, PA. I leave there and head south down th Blue Ridge Pkwy and Skyline Drive, staying in Luray and Roanoke VA, then Mayberry and Andrews NC. Ride the Dragon for 2 days, then finish up with a Sat nite on the town in Nashville. At that point I'll send my lovely Bride home to Seattle. She'll have had about enough of me for a while. I'll work on some properties in AL for a week or two. Then I ride Quicksilver home to the great northwet.

Any points of interest i need to see along the way?

I am concerned about the Luray to Roanoke leg, and the Dragon to Nashville. We have cooling vests and all, but more than 4 hours in the saddle is a much for the wife. :angry2: And you all know the motto, "a happy Wife is a happy life."

Gonna stay at Country Hearth in Andrews NC and was thinking of going around the loop counterclockwise. Waddaya think?

Next i'll need POI for AL to Seattle...

Gonna be hot going cross country in July.

The BRP has many diversions along it's path , check their site for those that may spark your interest. https://www.blueridgeparkway.org/v.php?pg=2

As long as your in the Area , I'd suggest a run down Hiway 28 which intersects 129 ( the Dragon) , hang a right when you hit 74 and head up the Nantahala Gorge. You can take that road into Andrews. The Cherohala Skyway is another area Gem, there's a turnoff to Bald River Falls which provides a nice diversion .

Do it on a weekday morning, before the tourists come out. Once they do, things can drag. Check the maps becasue there are some parrellel roads that are west of I-81.
