Just called P.S. in Palintine,Ill. to get an out the door quote on an "06 FJR they advertized in cycletrader, and I got a salesman(?) with a real attitude.

My question was if the price includes sales tax because I am from out of state, and would not need to pay the Ill tax because I would pay it later in my state when I title the bike. He sounded pissy and wanted to know how's he supposed to know what each state charges for taxes. Whatever. I guess he wants $12,100 OTD however taxed. I had other questions, but I was so put off I decided to end the converstion on this lovely note.

If their customer service/shop has the same attitude, maybe I don't want to do business with them.

Did I just get a guy having a Monday on a Wednesday, or is this typical and maybe I am a little thin skinned?

Boo hoo, boo hoo.

I've lived in the Palatine area for 35+ years and I quit going to Power Sports a long time ago for similar reasons. I don't know how they have stayed in business this long. In fact they just moved to a bigger shop just up the road.

The place I go to is Highlands Yamaha. They have great prices, and pretty good customer service.

Called Palatine Power Sports back today to get their hours and see about picking up the bike, and now they want $12,448.99 for out the door. :p

I'm in no rush-- maybe I'll just do a PDP on an '07 locally. B)
