Well I had one of my pannier cylinder locks apparently decide to jettison somewhere on the I-10 so therefore I need to get another I guess. Does anyone have a good source for the saddlebag locks. I checked at the local stealership and they want $92 for one. I found a set on eBay for 3 locks at $74 so I might have to go that route but wanted to see if anyone had a better solution. It should really be a $10 part. Thanks in advance.....

Did yo say a 10 dollar part? Better slap yourself, Motard, you're dreaming. Sounds like the cost of one small screw, if you're lucky. The dealerships (and mama Yamma as well) make good money in the parts department, sad to say.

The bikes came with an extra lock set so that you could use it on the trunk, Not on the bike somewhere?

Nope.. However the whole mess could have been avoided.. Something about new peeps readin' something.
People from "Pohonix" must have self-exempted from #16 and #17. Maybe they'll read #1-#15 and #18-#31.

Unfortunately I do not have the spare locks as I purchased used and these were not included. I'm going to get in touch with the PO and see if maybe he still has this and no I didn't read all the posts in regards to the bike, 4 kids keeps me busy......

I'll get on it eventually.

There is an easy fix to prevent this from occurring, but hey, **** happens.

We learn from our mistakes, however it's less painful to learn from others.

I read the whole thing and ignored it thinking that mine was exempt from the problem. At 23,000 those screws worked loose at grandson's T-Ball game. I got lucky and lost no parts. Read that whole thread and check everything on it.

If you end up buying the set on ebay I will buy one from you to help defray the cost. I had to use my spare because I too failed to read the "new owners must read" section. I'd like to have the same key for my Givi.

I will let you know, I have had a couple owners on another forum advise they might have one I could get so if that pans out then I will go that route. If not I will buy a set and contact you. Thanks
