When you buy a jacket, it commonly comes with the jacket side zipper sewn in AND will include the PANTS-SIDE ZIPPER. I need the pants-side zipper. Anyone have one that they are not going to use? I will certainly pay for postage.

^^^^^ Yeah, they're not all the same.

My Yamaha (logo) jacket has big teeth in the zipper, while the Alpinestar pants have small teeth. Both zippers came with a matching "other side" to sew onto the other garment.

I'd ask the store if the jacket should have had an "other side" zipper. Somebody might have zipped it off in the store or storeroom.

Sorry, no Fieldsheer here, but.....

I'll bet if you take the jacket to the "Notions Department" at the local Fabric Store some sharp little old lady working there will be able to match it up with something on the rack.

By stitching the pant side zipper of Brand X jacket to the jacket side zipper of Brand Y pants you can attach Brand A jacket to Brand B pants. I had a similar issue with my Firstgear Teton jacket. I just called Firstgear and they couldn't have been more helpful. Sent me both sides out in the next post.

Slardy,

Fabric stores will have zippers of many sizes and types. Get some upholstery thread there also, which works in any sewing machine, because it is unbelievably strong. There are several national chains, and many independent shops. Try the Yellow Pages (www.anywho.com), add your zip code, and call around first.

Cheers,

Infrared

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have an email into Cortech asking them to provide the pants-side zipper. Waiting.
