Mrs. BG and I are heading to Parkersburg, WV, for an overnighter on 7/3/09. We'll be riding with another couple on their Harley.

Dunno what kind of rockin' good times we can experience in Parkersburg, so if anyone local has some suggestions, I'm open.

BTW - we're taking a non-direct route down and a non-direct route back, but have to be home early-afternoon on the 4th.

Head on down RT2 to St Mary's.....then take RT16 to Gauly Bridge, the RT60 up the mountain to Hawks Nest..........You won't be disappointed !!!

We stayed at the Blennerhassett Hotel in Parkersburg. VERY cool old place. We ate dinner at the outside part of their bar, and they brought in a guy who was doing some live music - a nice bit of jazz. It was very nice, and the food was good - be sure to get their French onion soup. Mmm...

Our route home was pretty straightforward: cross the river, Route 7 to Marietta, pick up 550 west, then ride 555 all the way to Zanesville.

That was my first trip all the way on 555. Oh, yeah!!

We passed another FJR at around 10:45 that morning, a little south of Zanesville. One of ours??

Ride safe,

BG

BG sorry I missed this thread. and glad you had a good couple days. Living just on the other side of the OHIO I would have liked to meet with you and your bride. Buddy and I took off early Friday morning and headed North on 7 and Ohio 800 to Kidron and back on ST RT 83.

Jeff
