Last I heard this isn't going to happen. Shame, in Golden I slept well knowing people were watching out... not enough peeps this time around I guess. I think I'll watch for a bit anyway, and maybe somebody will step up before I need to crash a bit.

Whatta really really really bad choice of words to use while discussing anything on a motorcycle forum! ;)

My best guess is that there will be a lot of "socializing" in the parking lot until the wee hours of the morning.

Er...uhm...Eric has been known to expound on the virtues of "The Dark Side" until darkness gives way to morning twilight. B)

You really do meet the nicest people on an FJR.

Sorry to be so late responding to the call for help. My work schedule has been a disaster for the past few weeks, as we are down 2 officers and have two more on ANG training, leaving us short-handed as hell at work.

Because of the work problem, I've not been able to commit to full participation at WFO, even though it's in my freaking back yard so to speak!

Got the latest schedule for the timeframe of the festivities in Moscow, and it turns out that I will be able to "Day Trip" down once or twice if that meets the approval of the organizers...

I will be coming of a set of Grave shifts (2100 - 0700), so working a parking lot gig for a few hours wouldn't be a problem. If you are still planning to have night security, pick two nights (preferable not back-to-back) and let me know.

I'm not a drinker anymore, so I won't miss sitting around the bar, but would look forward to meeting all of you, and I DO love to BS!

Don

Yup, I guess I was tired when I wrote that -- I guess I have been using the word a lot lately  .

Judging by my recent bouts with insomnia I figured I might as well watch bikes in the wee hours after most peeps have gone to bed or gone for a nightcap. Better than having to listen to Greg "SkooterG" make noises with a sheep he's planning on smuggling into a room down the hall.

Uhh, I always like to stand around and kick a few tires with the rest/best of 'em, so I guess I'll be around, but I can't volunteer for anything after 1:00AM or 2:00PM!!!

Yeah, "I'm" a wuss!

I "will" be on a partial business trip to WFO 8, and I "won't" arrive until Friday evening! After arrival, lemme know how/if(?) I can help?

For me, it's going to be a GREAT RIDE from here to there!!!

CHEERS :yahoo:

You folks need to understand a couple of things. CFR was in Canada, so no worries, eh? WFO is in Idaho, so the locals are chasing sheep, but that's neither here nor there, (skooter will have to work for a 'date' though).

Second, drinking in the parking lot is kosher in Idaho, so stories and socializing may occur late into the night. Oh, and Deet is your friend, Moscow has some biting insects.

I may lure unsuspecting riders with cookies, then conscript them to parking lot security duty while forcing them to tell tales of the day's rides and share stories of former rides. Tequila may also be present... :yahoo:

Ooooohhhhh! Public drinking is tolerated a la Mardis Gras in nawlins? I might have to bring a flask for medicinal purposes.

I didn't know about the bugs, good advice. Thanks

I'm not touching the sheep thing

And George, I'm leaving early Saturday morning for Montana. Want to try for an early old-man's breakfast? We might be able to compare their croissants with that little place on the coast in Cali. Never did write up that ride report. What was the name of that place?

Not quite nawlins style. The hotel parking lot is equal to the bar, going off premises is another story. At least that's how it was last time in Moscow. We could wander anywhere on the hotel property and be ok. No drinking on the street or walking over to the liquor store though!

Michael -

Are you taking Lolo Pass? If so, I might join you on Saturday to the summit, then head back to the rally for the banquet. Breakfast sounds great! The name of the bakery in Morro Bay is Le Parisienne.

I'm leaving in just a couple of hours toward WFO and heading north on the coast, its too hot inland. See you there.

My plan exactly. Lolo Pass to Montana Saturday with an early start. You are welcome to join me. We can have breakfast early or on the way. Avoid this neck of the woods. 100+ the next three days. 106 temp. predicted tomorrow. See you in Moscow!
