Newsflash! Women have the genetic ability to stop and ask for directions, if needed. We don't have to ride 100 miles out of our way, or around and around in circles. We just stop, ask and get on our way.

Awesome RR Tyler! Don't think that I have ever heard the "it" moment described so well. Way cool on you for inspiring a young pilot, even one with CP.

Greg

> The road curved gently and the sun hit the pavement... it was that type of pavement that has glittery bits in it (yes, that's my technical definition and I'm sticking to it!). The road in front of me sparkled as if inset with diamonds and the dazzling display seemed to synchronize with the song that was playing at the moment (The Wanderer by Marc Broussard)... <
Ok Tyler, you kick started my fantasy memory...I still have these illusions of making the jump to warp speed when the pavement begins to sparkle like that. Hans Solo, Chuy, and the Millenium Falcon all over again.

> Freshened up, we mosied on down to Las Cabritos...<

Uhh, It's "Las Cabritas", not "Cabritos" which means the "female" goats?

> HEY! Wouldn't that be a cool shot of the Spyder in the middle of that hay field? Then the other voice on my shoulder said, are you crazy?!? What if you get stuck out there? The first voice told the second voice to stfu and out we went into the hay field.<

I'm Not sure, but YOU might have loved this? That field where you took the pic of the Spyder might be the very one we used to lease from the local farmer for staging the Central Coast Middle Earth Festival. The MEF was a yearly event that involved setting up a reincarnation of JRR Tolkiens' Land of the Hobbits where the (Ahem!) adults would dress in costumes and assume names like Elrond, Aragorn, Gandolf, Rataghast, or Farmer Maggott . We then tried our best to act out our parts(?). For the next 3 days after setting up camp with the most effective "illusions" that we could muster the materials for, we spent it with our kids. They saw us throughout the year as characters from Middle Earth. The MEF troop sponsored archery, axe and spear throwing, cooking, arts, games, and mead and ale tasting contests for the adults. A culmination feast at each MEF was a pig roast with all the trimmings. Our "generation" of kids "graduated" from the MEF about 14 years ago now, but us "elders" still gather occasionally over libations to rehash some of the heraldry.

> I am grateful to whatever gods/spirits are out there that gave me this additional lease on life... every day is precious and I wish each of you the gifts and your own dance that is there for the taking today and every day!

Just thought you might like to know that; "Not everyone who wanders is lost" - JRR Tolkein

...now, everyone can return back to their normally scheduled programming? :D
