Corbin and passenger backrest here. My wife and I have had several 300+ mile days. However, the mileage is not the limit. Nor is she uncomfortable. She gets bored being on the bike that long.

Warning on the Corbin - as far as firmness it's more like a horse saddle, than a motorcycle seat. The quick detach/attach backrest is slick.

My wife is 5'4"

She prefers to ride with the Corbin back rest AND the topcase. The Corbin provides low back support, and the top case pas is higher and allows her to lean back to change position more than if it weren't there. Thefore, whether we are packing for a trip, or just going on a local ride without baggage, the topcase is on when we ride 2up.

I'd say we have about 8k miles 2up out of my 14k+ miles since July.

We went from a full touring (Venture Royale) to the FJR. Debbie wasn't happy, lookin at the seat, etc. She said long distance rides may be over for her, but after being in the saddle, she actually prefers the back seat of the FJR. She was constantly wanting to "borrow" my foot pegs on the Venture to stretch her legs, but has no complaints on the new bike. BTW we've spent a high of 12 hours in the saddle. She says wind buffeting is bad, so I'm going to get a different shield to correct that.

My wife is 5'4" 120lbs and is not very comfortable on the FJR. I have a backrest, but it's just not comfortable for anything linger than a couple of hours. I had a Honda VFR1800 with a wide cushy backseat, floorboars and a large windcsreen - which pretty much converted the passenger section into a 2 wheeled recliner. She got pretty used to that and feels like the FJR's hind quarters is cramped. She used to do a lot of reading on the back of the VFR, but there isn't enought room in the back of the FJR to open a book comfortably without her jabbing me in the back with it!

But, I enjoy the FJR about an order of magnitude more than the VFR and since I do mostly solo riding, that, my friend is what matter's most! Yes, I'm a selfish basterd ;)
