To those who have participated with the patriot guard, I wanted to forward the following email I received from a fellow co-worker. He originally sent me a message asking if I had seen anything on the organization and I commented there were several here in the FJR community that served our fallen heroes. This gentleman has one son who is a graduate of the Air Force Academy and is currently a pilot and his middle son has been accepted to the Coast Guard Academy for this fall. His response says it all and I just thought I would share it-

"George,

I have the utmost respect for these riders. A very selfless group of patriots. My neighbor that is a member is a wife and mother of 3 kids. Since she can't join the military, she said this is one of several things she does to those that have joined, serve and or have fallen. She is a real sweet lady that will stand her ground to protect our soldiers. Quite the patriot! She recently went with a Patriot Guard team from Atlanta to the VA tech campus to honor those who were killed.

Tell your Patriot Guard buddies in your FJR group how much we love and appreciate them.

Ron"

YES ........I have personally seen them at work a few times here in MN. Those Men and Women are top notch and well appreciated. A big THANK YOU to all of them from MN.

Great job!!! I wish we didnt need um BUT we do.....

Thank you for sharing, Bull.

The day I spend every month or two, on average, to stand in respect for the fallen heroes, seems like an infinitesimal sacrifice in comparison to what they have done.

However, the appreciation I have received from those grieving families is a reward exponentially greater than giving up a day's wages to buy, and getting that close to the real human cost of war has given me an introspect on what is really good about my fellow humans. It really helps me keep a balance and perspective of what's actually small stuff.

In other words, it's an honor, for me, to stand for those who fell for their country. And I recommend it to everybody here.

Toe, thats about as well put as anything I have ever read...

George,

Thank you for passing on the kind words from your fellow co worker. The real heros in this case are his 2 sons who chose to enter into military service to their country. They are truly the selfless ones by committing several of the best years in their life for their fellow Americans. Kudos to the parents for raising them up right!

The least we can do is show our support and respect for them. They are fighting an unpopular war, they need to know we are behind them.
