Best birthday wishes, for the "horn"iest guy I know

Luv ya baby!

;)

Don't you people know that Mike doesn't have birthdays? He's an immortal. Or was that immoral that someone called him. I don't know, I was too busy hiding from the beer nazi. Happy Birthday, he who has the biggest horn.

Again, thank you all...I do enjoy counting my blessings from my cyber peeps here on the forum

and I definitely want to mention it was 1 year ago, on my birthday, that I rode Isabella for the first time with her new engine

what a rush that was after being grenaded since the previous June 23rd. That was 28,689 miles ago.

as traumatic and depressing as that period was, I was constantly buoyed by all of you that all would be good in the end and it was

and to think I affiliated myself with this asylum 2 years ago plus a few days and my login is still good and there are more thumbs up that not to count

so I'm fading a bit from a good day and will be riding later in the week a "Wreaths Across America" escort of 5 18wheelers full of wreaths to be laid at Houston's National Cemetery

and a WWII Veteran Hero being laid to rest here in town.

and for all of you from me and Maj Sidney Freedman: Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice. ... :p

Bravo Zulu to my peeps here, :)

Mike

well, 3:08 has come and gone, so my birthday is over as the 24 hour period is done.

my daughters sat me down after dinner yesterday to tell me their fondest memories...what a gift from Emily, my 17 yr old and Mary Beth, my 15 yr old

can't help but weep...I'll never remember the late nights at the job or how much was the Holiday bonus...but will never forget, and feel joy that they won't either: the impromptu soccer games in the back yard using the swingset legs as the goal...the slip n slide in the summer...taking them to Waffle House at 3 in the morning for chocolate cream pie...their first time driving a go cart at Gulf Shores...calling them pet names like shrimp and silly...holding them upside down or throwing them in the air at the horror of their Aunt Mary Beth..."making" them learn to swim underwater or going on the biggish roller coaster after the horror of Atlantis at Sea World.

Swimming with the dolphins at Discovery Cove and petting a baby giraffe at Busch Gardens (hi Dexter and Lester !!!).

Their first fishing trip and eeking at the worms and crickets. Taking off the training wheels. Self defense lessons. Executing complicated pranks on their Mother, and then serving her breakfast in bed on her birthday.

I won't worry so much anymore if I'm a good Dad or what memories they carry around. They do think of me as Daddy, and not that monster who's purpose is to make their life miserable or the example of the total depravity of man.

Yesterday will be in my top 10 when I smile on my death bed.

I guess I'm the most blessed guy I know...
