... one more thing to 'not hold your breath for,' buddy.
I'm developing a difficulty in tolerating certain kinds of posts... and... let's just say, the worldwide site is getting bad enough. <_<
I think one of the best bike sites on the planet is the FZ1 owners site. Sure, there are a few squiddly posters, and 'grump-a-lumps,' but also a lot of guys that know their stuff... and Pat Glenn!
I still frequent the FZ1 site, because, honestly, I seem to find fewer totally ignorant posts than other bike sites. I hate to write that, but it's true. I'm NOT talking about someone that doesn't know anything and is honestly seeking insights from other riders... (I love to help other riders, no matter their experience) I'm referring to people that *****, moan and whine... and expect somebody else to figure things out for them. Sadly, and I'll bet Warchild could confirm this, the more someone does for the good of others on a message board... there's a significant number that are upset they don't get more. For nothing.
From friends in the motorcycle biz, I've become aware that motorcyclists are a tough bunch to do business with.
Does it seem to anyone else that the FJR is the '#1 purchased bike' among people that have never owned a sportbike, or sport-touring bike... and thus unaware that there is no absolutely perfect motorcycle?
I remember, a couple of years ago on a different board... this complete butter-brain traded in his GoldWing for an FJR, and was bragging about how he took that 'blankety-blank' thing right back to the dealer and told him it was a piece of junk! He could feel bumps in the road on this motorcycle, SO IT WAS DEFECTIVE! The guy lived on a 'chip and seal' road in RURAL INDIANA! Did he expect the thing to float 8-inches over the pavement? Who knows?
Whew! Sorry. Rant off. Geesh! Didn't bargain for all that, didja?
:dribble:
