This is a Penske 8900 shock with 800lb Hyperco spring, remote reservoir and custom, FJR1300 reservoir mount. I purchased this for my 2008 FJR and used it for only 320 miles. I sold my bike for a new R1200GSW and took this off to pass on to another lucky owner. I weigh 190 and this spring should be perfect for anyone in the 170 to 210 range. Hyperco springs are readily available for about $50 on Ebay if you would like to re-spring. It's condition is perfect.

The handling when installed has to be experienced to fully understand what the right suspension can do for an FJR. Truly remarkable.

Cost was $960 with the mount. I am asking $700 including shipping.

Thanks for looking! Look me up on Ebay as "varkdriver" if you want to see my seller reputation (100%

I believe you have been left standing and waiting at the alter for the mate that will not be joining you. Just on a lark, since the shock is supposed to be listed on eBay I did a search and varkdriver has only a couple of items for sale, non FJR related. I suspect that the shock was sold on eBay and Mr 12 posts didn't have the decency to tell us, in spite of his 100% seller reputation. It would be nice to see that I'm wrong but I'm not holding my breath 'cause I think varkdriver has ridden off into the sunset on his new R1200GSW.

Guys like this are what make me wonder if a 50 post minimum before being able to sell stuff would be a good idea. Of course, I just got a good deal from a guy with less than 10 posts, so what the Hell do I know?
