Got home this afternoon.

Wow.

Just under fourteen hundred miles, and, well, wow.

Trip report this weekend. I've added pics to the album.

Wow.

Iris, is it worse to have the bike and not able to ride due to weather or not have the bike yet? I would argue the former is because you can see and touch but not ride, tempted but not able to do anything about it.

Actually at this point.......no, it's not worse to have the bike and not be able to ride. I can be pretty patient (however my husband may argue that fact - LOL).

Side Note: For some reason our dealer is acting kinda squirly on the whereabouts of our bikes. I'm confused and starting getting worried. So I just found out (not from our dealer) that Yamaha had released our bikes in November. Hmmmmmm something is not adding up.

More will be revealed........(once I find out).........

That's worrisome...

...the ship didn't tip over in the harbor did it?

The saddlebags should float, so you've got that going for you.

My 2013 still has under 2 dozen miles on it due to weather, it's difficult to even get the garage warm enough to work in.

C'MON SPRING!!

Are you sure some journalist did not take it for a little ride along the bay?

As many times as we see that clip (hint: That's a lot) it's still a classic.

Anyone know if that guy lost his job?

If you have the bike, you can go sit on it in the garage, close your eyes, twist the throttle and make vroom vroom noises with your mouth.

Not that I've ever done any such thing....

He quit the job at Moto Journal, his message on Facebook:

"Thank you for all testimonies that touch me enormously!!! Don't be sad, my future takes place on 2 wheels and in video, After 23 years where the passion for motorcycle remained intact; I wanted to wish a good and long road all."

Good luck with the new ride. Looks great!

I did the same routine from Connecticut 5 years ago

the people at D&H couldn't have been nicer. My "breakin" ride was first to St Louis for a business stop (thanks to knifemaker for letting me do an oil change in his garage) then home.

I did learn that Alabama has no temporary plates

rode the whole way without plates.

The more I see that red the more it grows on me. Hope I can resist the ES and color!
You cannot resist, you cannot resist. We are the Borg.

Actually, the red is SOOOOOOOO much better in person than pics show. If you like red, you will really like this bike in person!
