Ha! And just to make it look even better, the other end of the spectrum:
I wash the windshield, but that's it...

The Vette is an '09, bought it in Nov '08 when the car market slumped. I went from looking for an almost new used Vette to buying this one brand new for $1k below invoice. I came very, very close to buying a Cayman, I really liked the way they looked. For several months, while I shopped around, on any given day, I would flip between wanting a Vette and wanting a Cayman. I guess I am an engine nut, the American V* won out. Maybe the next car will be the Cayman.Looks identical to mine, except for the Givi topcase and Vstream shield...
Nice Vette, what year is it? I used to have a 99 targa before I went to the dark side and bought a Porsche Turbo.

The left exhaust has black boot heel material stuck on it, I scrape it off with a razor blade, but it won't all come off.somebody told me once that bikes that clean must be ghey
just pulling ya chain...it's beautiful
course, my attitude is I bought my bike to ride, not show off
...
Had similar thoughts.
How the heck do ride and not have chafe rub marks from boots?
Or farkles other than the seats?

Hey I saw that too!! Looks like southfork, Nice Vette, Nice FJR, Your Vette's the right color (Galaxy Blue), really Lehmans Blue. Wont the Black FJR get all dusty when the cattle stampede past the ranch? lolI spotted the back end of a C6 Corvette in the garage - now this guy has it made! What a decision to be made on a beautiful Saturday morning, "Shall I take the FJR for a spin or head out in the 'Vette?".
Hmmmmm,,,,
Decisions, Decisions.

The Vette is Jetstream blue. No cattle and horses near by, but I love the green pastures of Southeast Texas, lots of horses and cattle along those pretty two lane country roads.Hey I saw that too!! I wash my bike a couple times a month; well, maybe once a quarter lately.... But I can never get it to look that clean. I finally say, "F**k it. It's clean."
I know a lot of people think it's ghey to have a clean bike. When I'm on a trip (not just a day ride), my bike has returned home looking like I've been pulling a 4-bottom plow with it. Dirt and rain don't bother me when I'm on a trip. Who cares if it's dirty. By the way, years ago, I used to ride with a guy who would clean up his bike in the motel parking lot every night, missing out on a lot of the reverie and intelligence provided by happy hour(s). Not me.
That being said, there's nothing better than coming home from a day of riding twisty pavement, putting the bike up on the centerstand in the garage, turning on the radio, mixing a huge mug of Crown Royal Black and 7-Up or an ice-cold malted beverage, and wiping the dirt and bugs off your bike. Maybe throw some thick smoked pork chops or a few bratwursts on the grill. No hurry, shoot the breeze with neighbors, enjoy the evening, AND wind up with a clean bike in the end. The only thing left to do at the end of the evening is to see if I can coerce my stunning bride into specific marital activities to be performed in privacy. We've been married almost 29 years, so she's a lot harder to trick. I think she's on to me.....
Where was I? Oh, yeah. Nice bike.
Nothing wrong with a clean bike, yours looks great! Mine...not so much. It's tough keeping the big GSA clean. Just about every time I end up giving it a good cleaning I'll be riding down some highway and see a forest road that needs exploring. Back to square one. Only problem with the neighborhood I can imagine is that being in Texas, all the roads are mostly flat and straight. Other than that, nice!I know a lot of people think it's ghey to have a clean bike. Thanks, I enjoy riding it, I enjoy cleaning it, and I enjoy admiring it. None of those detract from each other. Like you, I don't clean when I am on a trip, I clean when I get home.
