Looks like you'll be riding in comfort now. Very nice. Looks like you've been busy over the winter. Givi touring trunk on a Premier Accessories large rack. PM sent.

Looks nearly identical to the one Rick made for my '05. I've got about 23K on it now and still wondering why in the world I waited almost a year before I bought an aftermarket seat. Still looks brand new with zero care and has seen several 600 - 800 mile days. Love that the 'wings' are low enough to let you slide a cheek easily in the twisties and still give support on the slab. Hope you like yours as much as I like mine.

That saddle looks Kewl! I got told today that in addition to back problems I probably have an arthritic right hip..........I'm trying to decide whether to save for a suspension upgrade next Fall/Winter or a custom seat. You made my decision harder...RM gets good reviews and that picture makes it look sweet. Congrats......

Sweet! The seat will get better and better as it wears in.

As I rode home from Ojai, I was convinced that I'd just wasted my $$ because my butt hurt like it did on the way there. A few weeks later, I noticed that all of a sudden, I'd forgotten about the seat. It was just another part of the bike. I've done a couple of very long days since then and had no problems with the seat.

I second what Silver Penguin said above.

Interesting to see that your seat has much more 'wing' action than my BM seat.

Then again, I was a complete newbie when I had mine done - I must have gotten lucky because now I'd rather sit that seat than a rocking chair..

You had great weather for your ride home on Sunday. I saw 61 on the FJR's guage. Not bad for April 1.
We rode close to Rick Mayer's place in Ojai today. Gorgeous weather. I saw 110 on my FJR's gauge - but wait, my '03 doesn't display temperature. Must have been some other measure I was looking at. DH's bike said that it got over eighty degrees in places.

Rick Mayer is in No. Cal. near Redding (Anderson?). I think you might have gone by one of the other 2 Mayers in the family who make seats (Rocky, maybe?)

I'm having my seat done this Friday (Good Friday) and was wondering which foam you chose. They told me they have a harder foam if you do long rides, 300 miles and up, or a softer foam. I only do two long rides a year of 2 to 4 thousand miles and the rest is local on weekends which is usually never more than 300 miles. Any opinions.
