Is he required to write a long-winded ADV rider report about it too?

Congrats on a great ride and I envy both the triple and your cruise control.

Narrower is indeed nicer. But most folks seldom keep the bags on and the width isn't as much a down side for the 49 States, as it is for California.

It means you have a wider area back there to carry sleeping bags, duffels, or anything else you want. And the racks are great places to tie down to.

Again, nice ride!

Congratulations on the new bike. I saw one at my Triumph dealer and was drooling all over it. I'd like to get a test ride!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I'm currently relaxing down in Zihuatanejo, and have not been thinking much about riding.

I'll make sure to let everyone at Hooterville take a spin offroad & do as many wheelies as they want. :)

Later gents.

Nice bike. I like them better than the Tenere as well. Though I echo that I'd be more likely to find myself on the 800XC and add it to the garage next to the FJR if it were me. But to replace the FJR, that's a nice replacement. Those are beautiful bikes for sure.
