I'm afraid that PMS is on our doorstep here in MA. 22 degrees and high winds today thwarted my post spark plug replacement and TBS run. I spent Saturday tending leaves. Should have been riding- The wind has rearranged my leaves anyway.

Our winter months are the BEST weeks of riding. I needed a ride to clear the head, and although it was only a CandyButt 130 miles, it took all day.

0400 saw a little frost on the road in dark corners, by noon it was 69F, by 1400 temp was dropping again. Rain due Wed/Thursday which is wonderful given our 2 year drought and wells running dry.

Each region has its demons and blessings, yes?

I took the Feej for a little ride at o-dark-30 last Tuesday morning, it was clear, frosty and -7C. I was getting on the top ten list of a coldest ride contest.... A dusting of snow since then, did not cover the grass, roads are dry. An hour north of here, they got a foot of the stuff (or more). Feej is on standby for another attempt at colder, but I'm doubtful. I won't ride in slush or wet salt. Feej will get parked for maintenance items soon.

I will post up later in the week how I'm gonna deal with PMS........

No PMS here!

..ya just gotta know how to switch gears fellers!

There's funn happening all year long. The beer tastes 'da same, we have some great fire-side BS sessions that resemble our bike rally's, no need to worry about bugs (sweet!), No speed limits! (how I got my nickname) just tons of positives!, Okay except one; the women... they all wear way too much clothing! :(

My buddy Jerry (blademan) and me (top speed) up in the 'Dacks...

I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to winter in Palm Springs. The weather this week will average 75 degrees.

Hey Don, I found a great menudo joint just around the corner from the house.

Life is good.

Mi Hermano Fly Bye, thanks for scouting out another Menudo resource! Are you still over in Palm Springs? If you were, I would have suggested we meet up in Blythe, CA; I like the La Casita Dos restaurant off of Lovekin Boulevard and I'd have ridden the FJR over for la Comida ese! Muy Bueno!

If that means I have to replace my 85k miles FJR a bit prematurely (if prematurely is even possible anymore) , then so be it. It's my bike. I own it. It doesn't own me.
A Yank prematurely replacing his FJR?
Must be a Yankee so rich that he doesn't care about his frugal reputation.

PM Sent!

I went to London, Ontario today... when I left home there was green grass. Seems London had 2 feet of snow last weekend and they're still digging themselves out........ anyway, to combat PMS all you have to do is have projects to keep you busy. My list includes finishing the workshop that was erected in the summer, installing a bike lift, maintenance list on the Feej, and this latest project............

See ya in April (and I still won't be done).

Pfft..

My PMS started in mid October. It was so bad, I packed up my entire house and moved in with Line to be closer to my bikes. Now all I have to do is find them under the mountain of **** in the garage.

DO NOT confuse "Southwesterners" with "Zonies." I live in the SW and my mom has 15 inches of snow at her house. Going there for Thanksgiving...Taking the truck so I can play around. I love the snow...But like the summer heat, after a while a break is needed.

That, is a beautiful photograph.

I need to go there.
