I just checked all the traffic cameras between Monroe & Auburn. Holy sh*t! Where did all this cold crappy wet stuff come from? Did I miss summer?

I made it back to NE Seattle in one dry piece behind all the road spray from the 80 mph cages........... Some of you guys asked for links or supplier names for some of my farkles.

The CASES are all supplied by Fuerte Case in San Diego. They're the Seahorse brand. Note that you can get them with locking latches like mine.

Order by phone and ask for your 10% discount. They're pretty cooperative. Tell them 2WheelTiger referred you. (They may not know who 2WheelTiger is yet, but I'm trying to stir some sponsorship interest.)

The tank mount for the fueltank case is sold by Twisted Throttle as a camera mount system by SW-Motech.

The waterproof backlit SPST pushbutton switches are made by OSLO Switch.

https://www.osloswitch.com/index.pl?categor...mp;doc=L_Series

The little control box the switches go into is from Fry's in their electronic parts section. It's a cast aluminum box that's 1.5 x 1.5 x 1 (or there about). There's a tab riveted to one side so it can mount on the unused mirror hole.

Black paint for everything is discussed at:

https://cycletips.blogspot.com/2007/04/always-buy-black.html

In fact, you might want to read the whole Cycletips site because some of these farkles are described in more detail there.

THE MOST IMPORTANT FARKLE is sold by Cymba, Homebrewers, and Bottles-up

It was good meeting you folks today. Hoping to see you soon at CFR.

Good to meet you today, Andre. You had a unique setup and it was fun to look it over. I was most intrigued by the case you used as a license plate mount. Which case is that one?

Colleen and I will be going to CFR as well, so we will see you then unless we come up with a group ride in advance.

Bryan, thanks to you, your wife & childern for put up with us. Taff, stay the hell off that knee. 2WT, nice to meet you. Also good to see the rest of the bums.

Again thanks Bryan!

And Yes I do love pie :fan_1:

Thanks to Bryan and his family for allowing the crew the use of his extensive garage space and for providing the hospitality.

Great to meet you all.

Thanks Dave for the front wooden stand to prop up the bike.

Ralph, CC needs re-thinking.

Carl, hope you got tires done!

Andre, great farkles and WOW on the helmet!

Marcus, hope the TBS made for a better ride.

Sorry couldn't remember all of your names!

See you all soon for a ride,

Taff.

Ride safe.

Yes thank you Bryan, Great garage to accommodate all the bikes! Must have had at least half a dozen in different stages of accessorizing. It was nice meeting a bunch of the local riders. I got rain both on the way down and going back home but It was worth the trip!

Thanks you Brian and family for letting us in, and it was great meeting everyone,I wish we had more time to talk, the TBS made a difference I notice less vibration at higher RPM. look forward to the next get together.

Absolutely. Thanks again Bryan.

It was good to see you guys again and while I cant make it to CFR, I am guessing I will see you at WFO.

A couple of you asked about the LED light I had that replaced the rear reflector, Clicky

And the link to the HIDs that replace your stock lights: Clicky

Yes, I forgot to say thanks to Bryan. Great venue and great benchracing stories.

The case on the tail is the Seahorse SE-120. It's available with locking latches, and I'd spend the extra buxx for the chromed metal locks instead of the plastic ones. (I have both types on the bike).

I also wouldn't do this mod without fabbing a couple of brackets to stiffen/support the bottom of the fender. I just don't think the stock fender will support this case for 20K + miles without additional support. If you're really going to add the SE-120, I can do a little article on the brackets. Simple to build and rivet.

KnuckleHead - thanks for the links. I need more farkles.

KnuckleHead, did you get the 35W kit or the 55W kit? Only $70 now?

I got the 55W. I am not sure of the output difference, but more is better in the lighting arena IMHO. Yeah, looks like it is down to $70...hell for that price you should get 2! :yahoo:

Thanks so much Bryan for the help with the tire. Great little get together and such nice host and hostess. Had a great time talking to your dad and Nancy. You are a chip off the old block. Loved your house and look forward to more fun in the future.

Nice to see all you old friends and nice to meet you new ones.. Look forward to other meets and talk with you all.

Thanks Ralph for hauling me up there and back. Now remember, you are the old guy.

Oh, and dont forget to get one of these as well: Clicky

Here is the link to the entire thread, but basically I found that about 50% of the time only one light would fire. It appears as though there is not enough power left over on the battery immediatly after the starter gets through with it to fire the HIDs consistantly. Adding that time delay realy in the mix (it is adjustible and i have mine set at about 10 seconds) gives that battery enough time to recover and fire the HIDs. Since I installed it I havent had any problems with firing the lights up.

Super thanks to Bryan and Marissa for another great day. Too bad rain spoiled the ride for those of us who wimped out. Kudos to those who did ride...the spray on the freeway would have made it miserable. Great to see everyone again and meet some new locals. Nice to meet 2WT and see the bike set up he had, Taff and Jed. Hope to see y'all again soon...before Nakusp.

Home and unloaded. Thanks Bryan and generous family for hosting this. Nice to meet some more folks from the region. And super thanks to George for all his help today!!!
You're welcome Ralph. I found it especially satisfying when we turned the key and were rewarded with internal combustion. Great as always to see you again. Glad the PDX bunch made it back safe and sound. See you in Nakusp for sure.

Thanks Bryan for the being a great host. I may have been one of the whimps that chose to drive, but that doesn't mean the day wasn't expensive. After seeing all the Zumo 550's there, I had to come home and buy one. Been trying to figure out which one to get, but seeing all those made it easy. Can't wait for the darn weather to break and get some "spirited" riding in.

Now I know what the perfect shop looks like, big enough to hold at least 10 FJRs, a tire changer, a bike rack, plenty of pie and pizza, and twenty or so of the coolest FJR riders around.

Thanks Bryan and Marissa for being great hosts and for the excellent dinner too!!!

Thanks Marcus for the 12 feet of loom. It was vey handy in routing wiring along the bike.

Thanks George for the quickie TBS.

I owe huge thanks to Bryan and Kevin for the tire changing!!! I actually don't think they let me do much of anything.

Passes were white outs both ways and chains required on the way home so I could justify trailering the bike; barely.

It was good to start putting faces to names and getting plenty of future ideas; bottle opener on the box behind the license plate is among the first!!

Thanks for the links 2WT. I will be getting that box behind the license plate this summer. Yes, I noticed the brackets and rivets after they were pointed out to me; it was the bottle opener that made me miss them. LOL I would be interested in an install write up, if you can find the time to share that great information.

Now it is off to GP suspensions for my new set up and good timing too since the right fork seal lost fluid down over the calipers. Thanks Kevin for spying that.

Again thanks to Bryan and Marissa for being awesome hosts.

See you all soon.

Brian

Another thanks to Bryan.

I was also one of those who decided to use four tires instead of two. I learned alot seeing what others have done and were trying to do. It was a great day.
