Hey Guys,

Glad to here there is going to be some none oil leakers out ( If you know what I mean)! Just bought a 2011 FJR would like to check out your bikes and possibly ride.

"When were you planning on crossing? Friday or Saturday? "

I'm not sure yet. I was thinking about crossing after we finish up in Port Dover but I may head back to Mooseheads and leave early on Saturday.

Funky, a few of us are leaving Mooseheads early Friday morning and meeting at some church that is listed a few posts back. Looking forward to meeting you. Meet us at either location.

Canadian FJR

Cross at the Queenston-Lewiston bridge, as it will be less congested. It may have less traffic on Friday nite, and if you go Saturday, go early before all the shoppers fill the lines. Either way, it won't be quick, as US border guards like to take things slow.

Fort Erie has only a couple of lanes across the bridge and gets congested easily. Rainbow has only two lanes but no trucks, but once across the bridge, there are several customs booths. Both are a crap shoot, you could get lucky.

Where can I meet you guys in Port Dover?? I can't be at the church in Boston at 8 (kids need to get on the bus), so I will have to meet everyone down there at about 9. Is there a spot anyone can recommend?? Perhaps the Harbour Museum at 44 Harbour st.???

I was talking with my lovely wife today and told her what time we were thinking of leaving and she said "Are you crazy?!"

At the time I was thinking I would just jump out of bed and jump on the bike. I forgot some people might like to eat breakfast or brush their teeth.

So how about we revise this meeting thing. We will leave Baden at around 8:30 and arrive at the church meeting spot 9:30ish.

I think women make better planners.

Yes 09:30 is a far more civilized time frame. Civilized and Friday 13 in Port Dover may be a bit of an oxymoron however. This is going to be a last minute decision if I can go. It is going to depend on whether I have completed the trail work I need to do in the Ganaraska Forest for an event this Sunday. If I'm not at the church, don't wait for me.

Much better. I plan on being there.

With the rain we are expecting, it should be clean(ish) by the time we get to Dover.
Saw that tonight. I was toying with the idea of doing a banzai run down tomorrow night after work and staying at my sisters place just down the road from the start of the Rendevous Rally (shameless plug). Then surprising you guys at the Church. Took one look at the forecast (and understand, I don't usually balk at a rain) and I'm saying piss on it. I'd sure like to see everybody again, but thats a long goddamn way to go to see the 2011 line of face hankies and do-rags.

See ya in June!

I know what you meant.........

By the looks of the weather report today, I expect you'll have nothing much to worry about except a short sprinkle here and there and most likely not until the afternoon. However, the rehab on my sprained shoulder isn't progressed enough for me to attend, I don't think. I'd really like to see you bunch, but if I show up it will be a surprise. Hope you guys enjoy the day!!

No word from Scott yet. He isn't expected until late aft or tonight.

I set aside everything he needs to clean his bike in the garage.

Thanks Mike. I thought he was making a straight shot there - leaving yesterday.

He'll appreciate the bike-cleaning facility ;)
