Possibility for SS1000

So been wanting to do a logged SS1000 and came up with this.

I would avoid the coastal roads in the lower peninsula of Michigan for a SS1000. Maybe cut south on Hwy131 to and through Grand Rapids. Even Hwy127 through Lansing would be faster.

I'm less knowledgeable about the UP roads you indicate, but I don't think the opportunity to do good speeds on those roads is great either.

You've made a tough route for yourself.

Curious on way you say to avoid the coastal routes lower Michigan> I have a lake house outside of Ludington and travel I94 - 196/31 N/S and it normally is a good run except a Sunday going through Grand Haven and the Indiana and Chicago is not good either. How ever my thoughts would be leaving at say 5am and I'd be coming through Indiana/Chicago later in the day.
