So did ya get the equivalent of a fair wholesale price on your old bike with a 11400 price tag? How did all that work out?

Never was unlimited it was "reasonable and prudent" which in general meant if conditions were ok then maybe up to 100mph over and you would still get in trouble. But I now would not mind settling in at 90 without getting a ticket.

Ha, ha....Or could have meant whatever the cop felt like ticketing you for!! "reasonable and prudent" is very vague.

Yes I finally got a fair price for my C109, First told me they did not want it, then a really lowball offer and it gradually went up. My wife did the deal because she is really good at dealing with these kind of things. She was tired of dealing with them, they were not going to give what we wanted and we were going to buy a fjr from one of the two metric dealers in town. Ten minutes or so after telling them that was it we were going somewhere else they called back and the deal was done.

Can you believe this guy? I mean imagine walking into the dealership, seeing the bike of your dreams, and saying, "Let me know when you're done with them, honey; I'm gonna run and get us both a cup of coffee." That's just SOOO cool.

Good job dbunke. I guess you'll be heading to WI to ride since there is only one road with a curve in MN (Hwy 60).

We do have a few more good roads, mostly on the eastern side around the St.Croix river valley areas but I hear what you are saying.

congrats RaiderBill! From my own experience, switching to sport touring from cruiser requires some re-training. But it won't be long and you'll realize it is a lots more fun than cruiser. As a matter of fact I parted my cruiser few weeks ago though I love it very much. Ride safe.

At first after buying the fjr I kept putting my feet up but there were no floorboards there

, just air in the cruiser position. I've liked the cruisers I have had but not enough to keep them, except the rocket 3 I think I would still have that if I didn't total it.
