My wife kept giving me a hard time for all the riding I have been doing since I got the FJR and had made it clear she was tired of always being a passenger. Last week was her B-day and I have been out of town for two months so I decided I would surprise her with something we could both use.

I picked up a 2007 Ninja650r for her last night. It has 4400 miles and ext. warranty to 2013. :yahoo:

The plan worked perfect she was in the garage all night staring at the bike and making plans to go on rides. Poor girl is going to have a long two weeks until her appt. with DMV to get her endorsement. I think the Kitchen passes will be flowing at my house :clapping:

Wow look at that!

Looks like it's time to take the family on a shake down cruise to the Kern River and Lake Isabella to me.

Congrats on getting her the bike, and don't forget the monthly flowers and forget me nots!

I like your priorities Food and Women. It's Friday so here you go

Look! That guy's green with envy!

Plus it looks like ,,he has a smile on his face ,, a broom in his hand ,, and I'll bet he's hard as bronze,,,,

Heck that alone should be good for a kitchen pass,,,

ynotride ,,you look rather tall.... ,,,, but a nice family picture

Ynotride ~ You have a lovely wife, and she has an equally lovely new bike. Good on ya!

No disprespect intended, but I'd suggest you forget the Kitchen Pass and try for a bedroom pass instead! ;)

You didn't mention if spousal unit has ever taken the MSF course, but if not, I recommend it highly for new/returning riders. Getting the M endorsement only makes her legal; taking the course can help make her safe.

Have fun together on the bikes!

Great news! You'll enjoy a LOT more riding time, once you can go out together and ride. The 650R is a great bike. I had one for a while and loved it. At low RPM it's sweet, mellow and gentle but crank the throttle aways and it bares its teeth. Very easy to ride and tons of fun.

+1 on the MSF course. It's the only way to go, to get a good start. Also remember that the lady needs some new clothes. Begin the with habit of ATGATT right now.

Good luck, and have fun!

Dan - That is awesome news!! :yahoo:

You may regret this when she beats you thru the canyons. ;)

I'm sure Andrea will like the bike. Now the big issue will be getting a baby sitter for your son while you two travel on the weekends.

Very cool. Enjoy, and tell Andrea congrats, good luck on her test, and ride safe.

Wow! Nice bike AND woman. Her legs go all the way from the ground up to where they make an... Uh, nevermind.

Thanks everyone. We spent the weekend gear shopping and yes she already has plans to attend MSF before she gets on the road alone. We still need to find her some good pants and boots but we have the helmet, jacket and gloves covered.

She has been riding dirt bikes with me for about 10 years and is a really good rider on the dirt. It shouldnt be to hard for her to transition to the street once she figures out everyone is trying to kill her. We both have the Scala rider headsets and it has been a great tool so far to use while she is pillion to explain things and what to look out for. She is already asking alot of great questions :assassin:

very nice! Thats Bob Hope.
Yes it is and I think his smile is due to her hand you can't see
