Holy crap, yet another totally BORING race from MotoGP. I love those guys, but it sure hasn't been exciting the last few rounds.

The most excitement the whole race was the turn two crash with De Puniet and Pedrosa. Ironic really that Pedrosa appeared so pissed of when Randy pulled the same move on him that Pedrosa pulled on Nicky last season (nearly costing him the championship). Around my office we refer to the act of being taken out by another rider's low-side as being "Pedrosa'd", as in "He got Pedrosa'd in turn two".

With the new electronics and the new tire rules, it is much less thrilling than before. I liked the 990's better.

Nicky blew the start...jumped early then was late getting going. That put him in the wrong spot at the wrong time. Some excitement early on, but, after Stoner got away from Vermulen....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I've gotta say it has more to do w/ the tire rules than the CC's. IIRC, the 800s are turning FASTER lap times than the 990s due to their ability to carry more speed into the corners. (Shoot me if I'm wrong, I can take it). Either way, I hope things are better next season. There are a TON of folks moving around this silly season.

I gotta agree with da Gun and Randy and you too Jeff, its just darn boring this season ! But like everything in this universe, its cyclical and next year is looking vewy vewy interesting, and its good to see Hopper do his stand up wheelies, wonder if he'll do many on da green bike? Its all good !

Just a question for those of you stateside....

would your opinion be any different if the positions of Nicky and Casey were reversed?

I don't think my opinion would be much different. Let's face it, the best part of racing is when it's actually close. I'm thrilled to see a Euro manufacturer on top though. I think it'll make the Japanese factories work that much harder. Stoner is good, that's for sure. And hey, at least he isn't French. :p

Nothing against Casey at all. Very talented kid on a good bike with good tires. I have no problem with that. But I do enjoy seeing close racing. A good example is last week's AMA 600 Supersport race. Lots of excitement even though the bikes are nearly stock.

Funny you say that. The last TWO 600 SuperStock races have been tons of excitement. I used to say "hey, lets make the beer run during the SuperStock race...I don't care about that one anyway...". Not anymore. That's been THE race to watch the last few weeks. Good racing. The next round (Laguna) is going to be CRAZY and tons-o-fun to watch. I can't wait.
