I tried a search on google with little results. Has anyone installed a power commander on a 2008 with or without a K&N. If so were there any improvements or benefits? thanks

An emphatic YES here. The PC3 was the last hope for my 08 and its HORRIBLE throttle transition. Now, with the throttle spring relieved (has nothing to do with the abrupt transitions, only stiffness) and the PC3 on, the 08 throttle and behavior feels like my old 05 (I love the GenI throttles and behavior in this respect).

I used the Dynojet provided map, and it works for now. I do plan to dial it in (which can be done only with a graph of A/F and RPM) in the fall. Yamaha provided us with a factory location for a wideband O2 sensor that my datalogger came with -- thanks Yammy! ;)

hey bud, I put a full muzzy 4 into 1 exhaust, powercommander and K&N. She sounds sweet and pepped up some, but am having trouble finding a good map for the PC.. so let me know what u come up with.

One of the guys has done all the leg work for you. Try here: Power Cmdr PCIII downloads

Look in the Maps area and I believe he has a Muzzy listed.
