I can't send a map to the power commander because I keep getting a screen telling me the resolution is too great. I've tried maximizing the resolution under the 'tools' menu.

The pop-up box asks if I want to convert the cells to 0 and then send the map. I've tried that and everything goes to 0.

I've tried two custom maps (the Wally smoothness map and another he recommended and the one from the Dynojet web site...all the same.

What am I doing wrong?????

Respectfully,

I've never run into that situation with my PCIII so the only thing I can suggest is to call PC directly.

Here's a kind of ubiquitous cure you can try. Reconnect the USB cable to the PC - push really hard on the cable until you feel a definite click as it locks into place. Then try to load your map again. That connection, when it's not pushed all the way in, usually causes a total lack of communication. But, it's a quick and easy thing to try. Another thought - make sure you are using a fresh nine volt battery.

You can try these things while you are waiting for the folks at Power Commander to pick up the phone.

Are you able to pull up the current map loaded on the power commander?

Can you load a map you get from dynojet onto the PC3?

If so do the map files have the same extension? ie..djm .exe etc,etc ?

Like mentioned above I've had issues with the cable and the 9V bat.

Seems to me there was a difference in the number of "cells" available in the version of the PC for Gen I vs Gen II??? Are you trying to upload a map designed for Gen II?
