Going up and down Causway blvd not wearing them down much. Better jump onto Airline a bit.

My PR2's last 5-6 @ best. In the canyons out here a tire that looks like that makes cornering zero fun, if not nearly impossible.

Wow Mike, you're certainly getting your money's worth out of the PR2s. Now that I'm back on real roads, I am happy to get 5-6k miles out of a set of PR2. But at least now after 3 years exile in Flori-duh the sides are worn equally or more than the centers B)

Perhaps you need to come over to the dark side.....................

Again.............you should try the darkside on a Michelin Pilot Exalto......cornering is lot's of fun!!! seriously, have you seen the videos of Brian?? (fjronamission)

I've had mine on for 2 weeks now and I don't notice any difference in cornering ability now.

Holy sh%t! Mine are almost that worn, but only have about 9k on them. Yours have about the same profile too, a little flat in the middle, then kind of an 'angle' off center. You can sure tell where the compounds meet.

Are those "B" or non "B" tires?
non B -> I think the B fever is a bunch of hooey (thanx Geek) ... plus more expensive and harder to get

that being said, I don't do much two up with the AIW (angelic italian wifey) since, well, parenting (and we are over the load limit by quite a bit)

my youngest daughter (15) rides with me the most

it's already documented the bike came out the shop with new used engine with first ride Dec 6, 2009 which is my birthday

it's also documented the bike had 93k miles at that time and new tires were installed as part of the shop work

this is yesterday's mileage (posted on the other forum's mileage contest) -> you do the math :yahoo:

whats your average speed according to your zumo? I think around here you'd have to run 45mph everywhere to get those kind of miles. Do you exceed the speed limit? How heavy are you on the right hand?

Don't fall for it. He's fishing. He may even be a fishin' LEO.

:)

I dunno Mike, that back tire was pretty well used up, but that front looks like it still has some miles left on it. ;)

If you measure the worst case tread in the center of the old front tire, I bet you have at least 1/32" left. And that is compared to what, 5/32" when new?

Of course that doesn't mean it would be safe in the rain...

Say... doesn't the PR in PR2 stand for "Patriot Rider"? :p

Heck no. I want to get that kind of crazy mileage. I just wore out a rear dunlop roadsmart sportmax in less than 2500 miles running 42psi. Either that or prior owner lied about mileage when the tire was put on. Couldn't really tell. Never exceeded 75mph. Not exactly heavy on the right hand either. Seems like abysmal mileage. I've ordered a set of pilot road 2's in b spec and hope for much better mileage. Keep in mind this is a new bike to me, so I've been taking it very easy. IL asphalt is not that bad. I can get 7-12k out of a rear on my vstrom.
