Anyone wanna make the pizes a game.

Place small stuff in large boxes? A blind givaway. Everything wrapped up.

If something is particular to gen 1 or 2 place those in separate piles form the everything pile.

or do a dirty Santa kind of thing where the prize can be stolen?

I figure the blind prize will speed things up from folks who want to be choosy. It took a long while last year for folks to get stuff.

My idea is, pick-up an item off the table. Pull a name from the hat and that's who gets it. If it is for the wrong Gen bike then they get to either keep it or put their name back in the hat and take their chances.

Would go a lot faster. If we run out of names and there are still prizes left. Throw all the names back in the hat and start again.

Pick an item, draw a name or:

Here is a small twist; stager the bigger prizes from "Nice" to "Sweet" to "OMG" as the final prize, in other words build to the Climax. Put two, three or four smaller prizes in between each of the bigger prize. I know that might take some work but we should know what is available for prizes before the party starts.

I think it would take four people to run the prize give away in an efficient manner; one announcer and three presenters. The first person who wins the first prize picks the winner of the next prize, and so on and so on. Everyone who wins a prize must pick a name first before getting their prize (keeps it on the up and up, hard to "palm the ticket" if you don't know who's next), then presenters have the prize in hand and ready to go as soon as the name is picked.

What do you think?

Sounds like an interesting idea. Something my wife family does at Christmas is similiar. You give everyone a number and then they draw in sequence. The first person gets an unmarked, unopened gift/prize. Now, the 2nd person can either choose to take the first person's prize OR draw/select a new prize. Th catch is that any person after the 1st one can either choose to take a previous prize or try to get a new one. I can explain it a bit better later, but that is the general gist of it.

However anyone would like to do this is fine with me. I will be starting the begging process at the end of this month since I will be on vacation that week so I will have plenty of time.

I also think that some revamping of the prize giveaway should happen. Perhaps have some sort of contest for the big prizes (tires, Starcom, etc) & draw names for the other stuff. Last year folks were actually losing interest in the whole process.... like they were having a hard time getting free stuff.

Which reminds me.... I need to get in touch w/ SWMoto about tire donation.
