I needed some farkles and ran a search for the best price on the internet. One of the items I needed was ordered from Cameraddict.com. When I order the item it was "in stock", two days later I find it is back ordered. When I inquired why, I was told they carry few items in stock and order them in only after someone has placed an order for them. I was not happy with that explaination! After that I got an email wanting to verify that I placed the order, and it gave instructions to call cameraddict on their 800 number. Ok, if I had wanted to call and place the order I would have done that. I used the internet because of so called ease of use. Sooooo, when I called the number I was put on hold for nearly 10 minutes before this person came on and asked me if I really placed the order?....DUH! Why yes I did! When he was satisified that I was the person who order the item he tried to sell me a memory card. I told him I was not interested at this time. Then he went into a hard sell on new software for the unit. This call had turned into one of those calls you usually get about supper time or on weekends trying to sell you stuff you already know you don't need. This guy would not take NO for an answer. Finally had to tell him I'm not interested in anything but my original item. Not buying there again and I told them that too.

This is the same company that has been switching names for the last 5 years. They are a scam. Bait and switch tactics all the way.

I'd call your credit card company and contest it now. You will never get your order unless you buy more accessories that are seriously overpriced. They will just say it's out of stock.

Agreed. There are a bunch of companies (in particular, camera sellers) on the Net like this, offering deals "too good to be true". Whenever you see a deal like that, go to Google and do a search for "reviews of <company name>". Read through some of those and if the company has a bad rep, don't buy from them.

There are plenty of honest retailers on the Web - there's no need to try to save a few dollars by buying from the disreputable ones.

Absolutely! Cancel that order and try to cut your losses. Send your credit card company after them (hopefully AMEX, they usually send Guido over to straighten it all out). You'll never make any headway with these guys, they specifically hire ******** to answer the phones

Thanks for the site. I went and wrote a review on that site and Techon Digital. Both are the same low class bait and switch outfits. I finally bought my Zumo 550 on Ebay for $685.00 and couldn't be happier. I can't understand why these bait and switch outfits get away with this stuff. Every review I read on resellerratings was negative about both of these sellers. I have learned a valuable lesson. Pay a little more and get the item you want.
