So I recently took a little 600 mile round trip in my home state of PA. At the end of day 1 I ended up at the Zippo lighter museum (bet you're jealous that we have that in PA  ) Anyhow it had been overcast all day looked like rain for sure but when I parked the bike I snapped this photo with my cellphone. Just look how light shines down on the Feejer...there can only be one explanation...somebody up there loves the FJR. Seriously...unretouched photo... :D

I can't believe the snow is already melted in Bradford!!!! Definitely global warming.

That's right buddy...PA is the cultural center of the universe...it's a lighter AND knife museum. Jealous much? :p
Rob and I stopped in there on the way down to EOM last year. That place is really impressive! I like the car out front with the huge zippo's sticking out of the roof.

We looked around for about 30 minutes trying to decide what lighter to buy. You know, if they only had like 5, it'd be easy.. bastards had like 5000! Ended up getting one with a dragon on it. Get it.. US129.. Dragon... guess you had to be there :D

Thought I had the pics handy.. guess not.. if I come across them I'll post them up.

Just a little off subject, and a little tongue in cheek, but, what's a Zippo lighter? I remember when everbody smoked and virtually every man carried a Zippo in his pocket to light cigs for ladies. I'll bet if you asked people unde 30, they wouldn't know what a zippo was!

Man, you wouldn't believe how big Zippo is with kids these days with all the retro-classic crap that is popular. We had a trip planned out for a Boy Scout troop a couple years ago. It was pretty near the top of their list of things they wanted to do for the year. It only dropped when the leaders determined it was too much driving time for a weekend trip. We took grief for that all year from some of the scouts.

We were going to stay on at a Scout camp right next to my grandfather's old dairy farm near Smethport a little south of Bradford.

My Zippo lighter that was given to me by my brother at my wedding finally used up all the flint. I had a hellavua time finding flint anywhere in town. I stopped in a smoke shop and asked the 20 something clerk if they had flint for Zippo lighters. Her response, "What's a Zippo Lighter?" After a couple of seconds of trying to describe it to her and her still having that dumb look on her face, I left and went somewhere else. They had packs of 6 for $.99. Seeing as how the original flint lasted almost 13 years, I guess that $.99 will go a loooooooong way.
