To all my FJR friends, I saw this posted on another forum re drinking and driving. It isn't a cutesy message and has some graphic imagery involved but is a sobering reminder of the devastation that driving while under the influence of anything can wreak not only on your life but others too.

Please take a taxi, choose a designated driver, walk, spend the night, whatever... please be safe out there and look out for your friends too.

Thank you for posting this.

I posted a link to it on h2g2 forum a while back, and emailed it to my colleagues at work

Stay safe, and have a wonderful Christmas and New Year :)

I thought this thread was going to be about prostate health .... or a defunct California airline.

Thanks, though, Tyler, for a reminder that we can all use.

Have a great Christmas, everyone.

When I saw the title I though that this post was going to be from Wheaties. Next I wondered why this would be an issue for Tyler. Then I put my minimal reading comprehension to work and read the post.

This topic and the Xmas season is on my mind. Six years ago my buddy died in a crash after leaving my house.

We had a cigar guy Xmas party and he was too drunk to drive.

I put him to bed, he got up and left an hour later.

He had stayed over many times before.

So get their keys, block them in...

Yep, drive sober.

But guys, check your PSA sometime too. I know the new wisdom is it might be a waste, but I'd be pushing up daisies in a couple of years if I hadn't stayed on top of mine. Still could happen. So don't get caught with your diapers down.

I agree about the PSA. I've lost two good friends to prostate cancer, and now my count has edged up to the point that it bears checking.

Wednesday I'll be going in for the ultrasound and needle biopsy. Not much to be happy about, and not looking forward to the procedure! At least if there is anything malignant in there, we've caught it early.

Sent you a PM.

Good New Year's resolution:

Don't drink and drive, and get a finger wave sometime this year. :p
