Well as my intro said, I pulled the trigger on a used 2007 Black Cherry FJR last week. I traded a 2005 Kawi Nomad with 48K on it for this bike. While I took a little beating on the Nomad, I had not ridden it in nearly 2 years. I am keeping my Kawi Connie C10. My initial impression was this bike is STUPID fast <g> and somewhat intimidating, but I have gotten over that within the first 600 miles. Oh this maybe the wrong place to put this message, and based on my readings of the posts so far in this forum, I don't think anyone is gonna be shy in telling me this is in the wrong place

That is my son in the picture. He got his first ride on the C10 as we headed out on the road together. Life is good.

cool Willie, both bikes are good. You wont be dissapointed with the FJR. I love being able to seperate myself from a cager in an instant if need be.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your purchase!

I looked heavily into getting a C-10 before buying my 2009. That's a great bike, and like Patriot said, good on you for riding with your son. Some of my most fond memories of motorcycling are when I rode with my stepfather.

I rode my new 07 about 450 miles right outa the front door of the dealer (literally). When I got home with about 1000 miles on the clock the stock seats came off, they suck. Has yours been changed already?

Welcome from a former C10 owner and current COG member. You'll love the FJR as compared to the Conc.

Congratullation.

You can change your info from "Considering . . ."

I am picking up mine tomorrow from Dallas, so the first ride will be long...

Former C-10 rider here as well (and current COG member to, :) ) Loved my C-10, but wouldn't trade my FJR for any bike in the world... This is the bike i've always dreamed of :)

Got the same pair in my garage, cannot quite let go of Connie yet, FJR is sneaky fast and smooth-does not have quite the mirrors or weather protection though as Connie does. :yahoo:

Congrats Willie!, funny saying that name to myself.

Anyways, I rode the C10 and enjoyed it. Have not yet to this date been disappointed with the FJR, it's a great ride. I could go on in comparison, but not fair; the Connie I was on was a 1992 model. Strong engine though.

Keep it safe.

I have noticed the firmness, however one of the gifts that our Supreme Provider gave me was the rear end for eating up miles on the bike. My SO also is gifted in this regard.

My sentiment exactly. The C10 has just about 47,000 miles on it and it is just a tad over 2 years old. When I went out Sunday to pick up some Tags, Treasure Hunt items and National Landmarks the temps was in the high 30's low 40's. I said to my SO, I think we will find the C10 maybe our cold weather runner. Agree on the mirrors. The C10 must have the best mirror set up on any bike. I am really enjoying the FJR thou. :yahoo: Life is good
