Pulling Left

TWN most probably got it right, as most FJR's probably drift left when driven in those small portions of the mostly red country that are blue. ;)

The problem is easily solved: KEEP YOUR FRIGGIN' HANDS ON THE BARS! ;)
Of course, your FJR could be a democrat...
I know this is an old post but I have had this problem since day one.

I feel the pull even with my hands on the bars, I just took them off to verify.

My bike has always wanted to go left and I know something isn't right but I have been unable to figure out what it is.

At first I thought the front wheel wasn't straight. Looking at it from the front with the handle bars as straight as I can get them the front wheel does look a little off but it could just be my imagination and need to find something.

Has anyone found a solution, I know something is wrong... None of my other bikes did this???

I think someone mentioned the crown of the road as one possible cause. What you could try, on a deserted road of course, is to ride on the other side and see if the pull reverses.

No I have been riding long enough to know that this thing pulls.

If I am going into a right hand turn I can feel it pulling left.

In a left hand turn it doesn't pull.

Riding on any road at anytime it always has the same feel and letting go of the bars takes me immediately towards the other lane.

I was starting another thread but I will post it here instead.

How likely is it to have a balanced wheel with no weights?

My rear wheel has a weight marked 30.

My front wheel has no weights?

Thanks,

Sparky,

Read this and it might answer your questions.

Clicky

The long and short is; because we ride on the right side of the road turning left is a longer track than turning right. Hence more roadway is covered turning left causing more tire wear on the left sides of the treads. This has the subtle effect of the bike naturally falling to the left because of the wear on the tire. Either that or it's Bush's fault.

One final note: IN MY OPINION. ;) :D

Yea, I have read that one before and like I said before. I have ridden for 18 years and this is not my first bike. I know the difference between tire wear, the road pulling etc. As also stated before my bike only has about 4200 miles and it has been this way since day 1.

Sorry, I know it is the bike, not me, not the road, not the tire. Could be balance as there is no wheel weight on the front and I am going to get it balanced asap to eliminate it so we will see..

Thanks

Ok, this has been a while and I hesitated on posting but if it helps someone so be it.

After this I checked my tire pressure for yes the first time since buying the fjr and the rear tire didn't even register and the front was at like 10.

Makes a big difference trying to turn when your tire has air compared to it feeling like you are turning a 4 wheeler. :D

Imagine Moe saying this:

Whoi I otta reach through this screen an' murdilate you, ya bum! Oh, Mr. Ivebeenriding18yearsandIottaknowwhenitsthebiketiresorme and since it's been that way since you got the bike, I'd go *****-slap your dealer too for letting the bike out the door without air in the tires. ;)

:tease: :taunt:

I do give you credit for owning up on not checking your tires. You gonna check them at least once a week now, right?

You and that comment are exactly why I did/wasn't going to post. :D

Yea, I went to check them a while back and trying to get my air gauge on it is tight so I need to buy a 90 degree one.

The list of things on this bike the dealer didn't do just keep adding up!!!

I am having a small problem with the power commander which should be a different thread but since my dealer is also a dynojet facility I really don't want to take it there either. I am dealing with dynojet direct and if it continues they want me to return it.
