Boy, that sure looks purdy afterward! Now, how do you benefit with all this.

No, dickcheese :haha:
BrunDog, I've same question that Big-D, double_entendre and dcarver had on the original post a year ago: What's the gain?

I believe that Don Carver said back on the original thread it only showed a half-horsepower gain on a dyno. Why do it at all?
It means more air can exit the engine faster allowing for an airbox mode to allow more air into the engine along with more fuel (i.e. barbarian mode, power commander, etc) which increases your horsepower.

Bigger benefit, or at least a more practical benefit, is you don't have a chemical oven below the engine pumping out 600 degrees of heat right next to your feet.

There has GOT to be a way to remove these things without doing the whole cut&weld procedure. When I figure it out, you are all gonna suck my cornhole. :evilsmiley03:

BD,

I took a 3/4 long drill with an extension to drill out the cat on my jeep. They were ceramic tho. I drilled several holes through and it eventually broke up and blew the chunks out on there own.

As far as the material thingy if i remember they are made with palladium now. $$$$$$$ mucho dinero. That's why the thieves are going to new car lots and hacksawing them out of new cars. Then they cash them in for scrap or resell them. Have you ever priced out cats for a new vehicle? BIG BUCKS!!!
