Spent a lot of Summer weeks at HIGGINS LAKE, my Aunt owned cottages up there back in the 60's and 70's.

Did you know Higgins Lake was named the 6th Most Beautiful Lake in the World by National Geo magazine?

Anyway, we used to catch the river in Grayling or Gaylord can't remember which and canoe down it.

That would be Grayling..

They have a big canoe race every summer from Oscoda to Grayling that draws racers from all over the US and Canada. Buddy started it 20 years ago.
